I’ve never had an Instacart shopper do this, not one time. At the very least, when you call the Deli demanding that your 5 lbs of various meats and cheeses and 4 sandwiches be ready at 30 minutes, understand that we probably can’t do that. Just because you (we) are a Shipt shopper does not mean you deserve special treatment, or the ‘co-worker camaraderie‘, whatever. We are chronically understaffed and overworked. We have customers calling in all day, we have online orders pouring in all day. You think you‘re busy as a Shipt shopper, but that’s because you’ve never done a lunch rush at a beach Publix deli. And nothing, almost nothing is more irritating/frustrating/annoying than Shipt shoppers calling in multpile orders to the Deli at Publix, all with a short window, needing them in 15 minutes, 30 minutes, etc. I’m also a part time Deli clerk at Publix.
I know how it goes, the pressure of getting things done on time, the looming possibility of getting a lower than 5 star rating, bitchy customers, etc.
